Morganton Point Recreation Area sits on the shores of Lake Blue Ridge – a 3,290-acre lake that boasts 60 miles of shoreline and ample outdoor activities such as kayak rentals and stand-up paddle boards. The day use area offers secluded swimming, hiking trails, picnicking, boating and fishing. Looking to spend the night? Morganton Point Campground provides over 40 campsites, including group camping and walk-in opportunities.

Located at the beach and boat ramp area within Morganton Point, The Point is your source for snacks, souvenirs, lakefront beach access and best of all, kayak and paddleboard rentals. It’s an easy walk from anywhere in the campground! (Open seasonally)

Standard/Interagency & Senior
Campsites:

Standard Campsite includes parking for 2 vehicles – $24/$12
Standard Campsite (Electric) includes parking for 2 vehicles- $31/$19
Standard Campsite (+ 50 amp Electric & Water) includes parking for 2 vehicles – $35/$23
Standard Campsite (Full Hook-Up) includes parking for 2 vehicles – $36/$24
Double Campsite (10 persons & 4 vehicles) – $50

Paid Amenities:

Season Pass – $50 up to 4 people/$25 up to 4 people
Day Use — $5 per person ages 16+
Day Use – Busses & Vans – $5 per vehicle + $2 per person
Extra vehicle parking fee – $5 per vehicle
Small Picnic Pavilion – $40
Boat & Trailer Launch — $5
Dump Station (Non-Registered Campers) — $10
Showers for Non-Registered Campers (7am-8pm)— $5 per person

Directions

Take U.S. Highway 515 north from Blue Ridge for 4 miles to Georgia Highway 60. Turn right (southwest) and continue 3 miles to the town of Morganton. In Morganton, turn right on County Road 616 (Lake Drive) and proceed for 1 mile. To enter the campground, take the first left after the Morganton Point entrance sign.
