Event Navigation
The Blue Ridge Mountain range has one of the longest fall foliage seasons in the country so join us for an incredible and colorful journey into DuPont State Forest. DuPont is one of the most biologically diverse areas in NC, and you’re going to get the chance to explore what everyone’s talking about! This day hike is the ideal location for “leaf peeping” in October. Stunning vistas, clear creeks and rivers, rhododendrons and discussion on the unique qualities of the area are all a part of this great day on the trail. We may even have time to visit one of DuPont’s stunning waterfalls. After the hike we will head back into town and enjoy a refreshing beer or soft drink of your choice at the Pisgah Tavern. Space is limited and pre registration is required. Minimum of 5 people needed to run the tour.
