The Rock-a-bye 5k will be the grand opening event of the new Forest Discovery Trail at the Cradle of Forestry in America Historic Site. This 3.1 mile run will take place entirely on paved trails within the boundaries of the Cradle of Forestry. This truly is a great family event. You will pass an antique logging train, the original trout hatchery in Pisgah National Forest, and by the historical buildings along the Biltmore Campus Trail. Enjoy incredible views while being directed along your way by the students and residents that called the mountains their home in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Remain at the Cradle of Forestry after the race to enjoy the Forest Discovery Center with the entire family.
There will be many unique scenes along the 5k course!
