of Indiana’s largest lake, Lake
Monroe, Hardin Ridge Recreation Area offers many
activities within the Hoosier National Forest. Hike to the lake
or the amphitheatre on the 1.4 mile Twin Oaks Trail. Hike the
2 mile Hardin Ridge Trail to the beach and enjoy fishing, boating,
or swimming on this 10,750 acre reservoir. This trail is good
for hiking or biking and leads to the Day Use area from the Campground
loops. Stop at the Scenic Overlook while on the trail as you wander
the forest.
