In
order to provide the public with quality, fun environmental education
programs and activities, a large support group of agencies must first
be in place, and many of them can be found in the southeast! The CFAIA
would like to acknowledge and thank a large collective of like-minded
groups that share in our passion for the “natural education”
of our children and families. Please click on each link below to learn
more!

Founded in 2004 by veteran Outdoor Industry executive and entrepreneur Thomas Dempsey, SylvanSport designs, manufactures and distributes “Mobile Adventure Gear” from its headquarters in Transylvania County, North Carolina. What is the GO? "This is the most unique camping and travel trailer you'll ever find. The GO was designed from the frame out to be a one-of-a-kind mobile adventure trailer that's as versatile as a Swiss Army knife. It's lightweight and easy to manage in the parking lot, garage or on the road. Ultra-light and weighing in at just 840 lbs, the GO can be pulled by even the smallest of cars. GO can carry up to a dozen bikes, kayaks or any combination thereof. GO is much more than a pop-up camper, it is an American made, gear-hauling, hyper-engineered, fully tig-welded piece of Mobile Adventure Gear."
NC
Children and Nature Coalition
NC Children and Nature Coalition (NCCAN!) was formed as a response to
the alarming disconnect between today’s children and the natural
environment. NCCAN!’s goals are simple, get children and their families
to explore, embrace and spend more time outdoors. This encourages the
education, mental and physical well-being of all people, especially children,
strengthens families, and provides long-term benefits for our society
and the natural world.
Children
and Nature Network
The Children & Nature Network (C&NN) was created to encourage
and support the people and organizations working nationally and internationally
to reconnect children with nature. The network provides a critical link
between researchers and individuals, educators and organizations dedicated
to children's health and well-being.
