Lake Winfield Scott Recreation Area & Campground

Lake Winfield Scott is PARTIALLY OPEN with limited services

Situated high in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest and only 80 miles from Atlanta is the Lake Winfield Scott Recreation Area and experience Georgia camping at its finest. The 18-acre lake was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's and offers the public ample opportunities to swim, fish, boat & hike. Sleep under the stars on one of our 31 beautiful campsites, or rent our two-story rustic cabin, capable of accommodating up to 12 people and just a short walk away from the lake. The Bavarian village of Helen, GA is close by and Atlanta is less than two hours away. Single Campsite w/ 50amp Electric: $22
Double Campsite - 10 persons & 4 vehicles: $30
Group Camping - $40
Cabin Rental: $90 per night
