Grindstone Recreation Area & Campground

Beautiful Grindstone Recreation Area and Campground sits only 2,000 feet below the peak of Mt. Rogers, the highest in Virginia. The entire area boasts hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, including the extremely popular Virginia Creeper Trail and Appalachian Trail. Camp in the cool of the rhododendrons or visit for the day and utilize the playground, volleyball courts, picnic area and Whispering Waters Trail.
